About Southwest Idaho Fire and EMS Chiefs Association

The purpose of the Southwest Idaho Fire and EMS Chiefs Association (SWIDFC)  is to establish an association for Urban and Rural Fire Departments, Fire Districts, and EMS Departments, who choose to promote issues and enhance opportunities to support prevention activities and all risk emergency services.

SWIFC will establish, maintain, support and identify funding mechanisms for mutual aid in the State of Idaho for all risk emergencies.  The first priority is Region 3 and 4 of the Idaho Fire Service Resource Response Plan.

The association will actively pursue opportunities to be involved in Idaho State Legislature to meet the objectives of the organization.

The association will offer a venue to share information among the membership in Idaho.

The Southwest Idaho Fire and EMS Chiefs Association will provide and develop regional standards for safety, fire inspection/prevention programs, training standards, EMS, and suppression activities in Idaho.
