7:00 am - Breakfast and Networking

8:00 am -10:00 am – John Blake, Deputy Chief Paramedic, Ada County Paramedics, "Vulnerability". This two-hour session about vulnerability is a compressed look at the topic from the standpoint of a public service chief. An immediate misconception is that this is a soft topic for weak leaders. Quite the opposite is true. It is a focused look at the mindset and tools used while dealing with issues such as conflict resolution, innovation, high achievement, collaboration and cooperation, deployment of resources, and integration of service. One of the presentation goals will be to enable you to take full advantage the variety of skills, ability, and knowledge you possess and use for the betterment of your department and our system.

10:00 am - 11:00 am - Kirk Carpenter, Fire Chief, Nampa Fire Department, "Seeking Growth Through Tragedy".  The most tragic thing that can occur is not experiencing the blessings that happen during great struggles, how can we keep our eyes and hearts open to see them?

11 am – To-go Box Lunches and Closing Presentation:  Mark Niemeyer, Fire Chief, Boise Fire Department, "Parting Thoughts"
